The Cathedral of St. Lawrence is a Roman Catholic basilica constructed in the Romanesque-Gothic style of Trogir. The cathedral is part of the historical core of Trogir, which is a UNESCO heritage monument. The beauty of the cathedral, its architectural value and historical value make it a special location for all ceremonies.
Construction of the Trogir Cathedral of St. St. Lawrence began in 1213 and lasted until 1589, which is why styles from Romanesque to Baroque can be seen on the building. Trogir Cathedral has the floor plan of a three-nave Romanesque basilica with three apses, and is the most monumental of all Dalmatian Romanesque churches, as it is the only one with a vault in all three naves.
With additions in the 14th and 15th centuries, an atrium, a baptistery in the north and a belfry in the southwest were added to the Romanesque facade. Galleries were built above the side naves, and a new rosette was added to the facade. In the 15th century, the late Gothic chapel of St. Jerome on the north side, the Renaissance chapel of St. John of Trogir and the sacristy. Numerous tombs and altars located inside the cathedral contribute to its artistic value.

Opposite the cathedral stands the votive Church of St. Sebastian, built in the middle of the 15th century in gratitude for saving the city from the plague. Instead of a bell tower it has an amazing City Clock Tower.

Opposite to the Cathedral of St. Lawrence is located The Palace Ćipiko which was home of one noble family from Trogir, the Ćipiko family. In the Palace Ćipiko you can see many works of various famous Croatian Painters and Sculptors of all times.
